In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
Sponsor a cat neutering surgery!
As you can read here, neutering plays an extremely important part in reducing the total numbers of stray cats, which in turn reduces the suffering of stray cats. Many of our Rescuers also do TNR/ TNVR work, and the sick cats that they take in also need to get neutered once they have recovered enough to go through with surgery.
Prices for neutering surgeries range from 30€ to 180€ depending on the country and vet clinic, and sometimes also depending on the sex of the cat. Often there will be discounts for stray cats, which accounts for some of the variability in the costs listed above.
You can become part of the solution, by sponsoring a neutering surgery. Even better: you can also get a cat neutered in someone else’s name, as a birthday present or for any other occasion.
If you are interested in sponsoring a neutering surgery, please get in contact with us via: [email protected]
As a sponsor, you will recieve a certificate (currently available in either english or german language) with the date of the surgery, the name of the kitty and the country of the kitty on it. You will also recieve a photo of the kitty that you sponsored.

Gold for the Goals!
In honor of the recent Olympic games and the upcoming Paralympic Games, we would also like to hand out some gold medals for outstanding achievements.
Starting on the 13th of August, we will be offering medals for donors who complete fundraising goals. The promotion ends, when the Paralympic games end (8th of September), or when all of our 25 gold medals have been won.
This is your chance to get a Kindness for Kitties e.V. gold medal!
How will this promotion work?
When you complete a fundraiser, we will contact you via mail to let you know that you are eligible for a medal and to ask for the shipping address to deliver your prize to you. Delivery may take some days or weeks, depending on your location. The shipping will not be insured or tracked, as the shipping costs are covered by the association, so that all of the donation money can be send to the Rescuers.
What is donation matching?
Donation matching is a way to increase incentive to donate. It is usually done by corporations, but the concept can be done by anyone. A sponsor (for example us, from Kindness for Kitties e.V.) pledges to make donations based on what other people donate. Donation matching can be done at different ratios, most often it will be done with a 1:1 ratio, meaning if someone donates 10€, the sponsor would “match” the donation, by making a 10€ donation themselves. This doubles the amount of the initial donation.
Donation matching will usually be capped at a certain amount, meaning that only donations up to that maximum amount will get matched. The donation matching promotion automatically ends, when the maximum amount is reached. Donations coming in after that will still be appreciated, but will not get doubled.
For our Rescuers, donation matching promotions mean that they can reach their fundraising goals quicker: Donors may be more willing to donate during donation matching and the matching itself adds to the progress made towards the fundraising goal.
There may also be donation matching promotions for special occasions, that may only apply to some of our cats listed. All donation matching promotions will be posted on this website and on instagram, including the maximum amount and other possible criteria.
Kindness for Kitties e.V. sponsored Donation Matching Events:
Kindness for Kitties e.V. will regularly sponsor donation matching events with money made avialable by internal member donations. Based on the amazing response to our first two donation matching events, where the budget for donation matching was exceeded by quite a lot, we have decided to make each of our own donation matching events 24h long and have developed the following system to ensure that all Rescuers who participate and recieve donations will benefit from these events:
The system was inspired by the German income tax system (of all things!), but instead of taking money away, we are adding money on top of what our Rescuers recieve in donations. There is a bracket system, where each bracket will be matched at a different ratio. The first bracket will be matched at 100%, with the ratio decreasing from there. Each bracket is filled up from bottom to top and the amount within each bracket then gets matched at the respective ratio.
The bracket sizes and matching ratios will vary based on the total of all donations recieved for all Rescuers on Donation Matching Day and the respective budget for the event. This gives us the flexibility needed to work within our donation matching budget, while keeping the incentive to bring in as much as possible in donations.
With this system every Rescuer who recieves donations on Donation Matching Day will benefit from the promotion. Rescuers recieveing more in donations will also recieve more of the donation matching budget.
